If you are into groovy funk music and you spend just a little time on Instagram or Tik Tok, then you will have definitely come across “Funky Times”, a group that has been thrilling the internet since 2020 with their short, virtuoso, good-mood clips, and whose videos have led to collaborations with world-renowned artists like bassist Henrik Linder from Dirty Loops or former Prince trumpet player Philip Lassiter.
Funk legend Candy Dulfer discovered the young band through these platforms and called them “one of my favorite new bands,” featured Funky Times’ music on her radio show, “Candy’s World,” and even invited the group to Amsterdam to perform in her new concert series called “Candy’s Choice.” Groovy bass lines connect with a singing drummer while masterful, kicking keyboard solos combine with stone-cold funk guitar riffs. With this band dressed in the most colorful windbreaker jackets that the 80s had to offer, a zestful, vigorous and unforgettable night is guaranteed!
